Where History Comes Alive
One professor did something unique when I was in college. He would carry his little cassette recorder into class and during the course of the lecture, he would bring alive the voices of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Dwight Eisenhower and dozens of other contemporary recordings of the era we were studying. History written on a page tells a story, gives perspective ( even with pictures) but listening to those who made history, from the famous and not so famous, brings history alive. This site serves as a conduit not just to the past but as a presentation of what happened to those born further along history's timeline.
